Subject:Kevin Kostibos Named SHS Head Football Coach
The Summit Board of Education approved Kevin Kostibos as the new Summit High School Varsity Head Football Coach at Thursday night's meeting, which was held at Franklin Elementary School.

Coach Kostibos replaces John Liberato who has retired from his role as head coach in order to spend more time with his family and watch his two sons play college ball.

Kostibos teaches at Lawton C. Johnson Summit Middle School and also coaches JV baseball at SHS and is a wrestling assistant coach at LCJSMS.. He has been a coordinator for Summit's football program for the past six seasons. He has been a member of the North/South All-Star Football Game Board and a three-time North/South All-Star Game Coach.

In his remarks last night, Kostibos thanked the coaching staff, especially Liberato, for their support, the Board of Education and administrators, for giving him this opportunity, and his wife.

"I'm incredibly excited to have the opportunity to head such a well-respected and professional program," Kostibos said. "The football program has been the pride of this community for years and I can't wait to continue the tradition of excellence both on and off the field. The administration is incredibly supportive and I can't thank them enough for their recommendation and endorsement. "

Prior to coaching at Summit, he spent three years with the Livingston High School football program.
