The next BOE Meeting will be held on Thursday, January 18th, at Summit High School. The meeting is set to begin at 7pm. There will be a reception at 6:30pm, prior to the BOE Meeting, to welcome our new Supervisor of Special Education. All are welcome to attend! You can also watch a LIVE broadcast of the meeting on Verizon 28 or Comcast 964.
Additionally, the Board of Education develops Focus Areas every three years to help guide the Board and Administrators as goals are set for the Summit Public Schools. These Focus Areas are developed along with input from key stakeholders including parents, members of the community, and district staff. A survey was offered to the Summit community between October 5th and October 27th. The data was analyzed and then highlighted by the Communications Committee Chair, Chris Bonner, at the Focus Areas Discussion Meetings that were held on Nov 15th and Nov 30th. Over 80 individuals in total were in attendance, to share in this important conversation. The proposed Focus Areas will be shared at the January BOE Meeting.
