What Delayed Openings Mean for Half-Day Pre-school:

Please note that in the event of a delayed opening, the AM pre-school classes will be cancelled. The PM pre-school classes follow a regular schedule.

What Delayed Openings Mean for Full-Day Pre-school:

The preschoolers in the full day program at Wilson Primary Center will come in at 10:15 AM and dismiss at 3:00 PM (Monday – Thursday only.) If a delayed opening occurs on a Friday, classes are cancelled.

What Single Sessions Mean for Half-Day Preschool:

On days listed as “single session” the half-day morning pre-school schedule is as follows:

9:00 AM – 10:40 AM

On days listed as “single session” the half-day afternoon preschool schedule is as follows:

10:45 AM – 12:25 PM

What Single Sessions Mean for Full-Day Preschool:

On days listed as “single session”:

  • If a Single Session falls Monday – Thursday, the full-day preschoolers attend class 9:00 AM – 12:25 PM
  • If a Single Session falls on Friday, the full-day preschoolers attend class
  • 9:00 AM – 11:30 AM


Full Day Kindergarten Application & Information

Full Day Kindergarten Lottery for the 2018-2019 School Year:

If you have or know of a child who will be eligible to attend kindergarten next year (attain age 5 by October 1, 2018 and a Summit resident at the time of the lottery drawing), and interested in attending the full day kindergarten program, please complete the Full Day Kindergarten Lottery application.

The application is available online on the Primary Centers main page on the district website – summit.k12.nj.us – and at the Primary Centers at Jefferson and Wilson. Please return the completed application NO LATER than December 13, 2017 at 4 PM to: fdklottery@ summit.k12.nj.us or fax (908) 918-2134 or in person to Wilson Primary Center - Main Office. Lottery numbers will be assigned by drawing at the Board of Education Board Office at 1:00 PM on December 14, 2017.

Tuition is $ 5,500.00 per year with reduced rates for families that qualify for the Federal Lunch Program. A non-refundable deposit of 10% of tuition will be due at the time of registration which will take place January 22, 23, and 24, 2018.

Lotería para de Kindergarten de dia completo para el año escolar 2018-2019

Si usted tiene un hijo(a) o sabe de algún niño(a) que sea elegible para asistir al Kindergarten el próximo año (que cumpla 5 años de edad antes del 1ero de octubre de 2018 y que resida en Summit), y que esté interesado en asistir al programa de Kindergarten de jornada completa, por favor llene la solicitud Full Day Kindergarten Lottery.

La aplicación está disponible en línea en la página principal de los Centros Primarios en el sitio web del distrito - summit.k12.nj.us - y en los Centros Primarios de Jefferson y Wilson.
