Falling into Fall!
Students studied Foliage and create Fall projects.
1st grades: Pumpkin Seeds Mosaics
- studied mosaics and learned how they are created out of glass, wood,
paper, etc.
- learned how to draw pumpkins
- learned about value in colors of red, orange, and yellow. Red being the
darkest and yellow being the lightest.
- using pumpkin seeds, students were able to fill in their pumpkin
drawings and make it into a mosaic.
2nd grade: 3D Pumpkins
- learned about value in colors of red, orange, and yellow. Red being the
darkest and yellow being the lightest.
- created 3D pumpkins
3rd grade: Watercolor leaves
- learned about value in colors of red, orange, and yellow. Red being the
darkest and yellow being the lightest.
- learned how to draw certain leaves.
- painted their leaf drawings using watercolors on book pages.
4th grade: Pumpkin Resist
- learned about value in colors of red, orange, and yellow. Red being the
darkest and yellow being the lightest.
- learned how to draw pumpkins
- learned the resist technique
5th grade: Pumpkin Patch (oil pastels)
