College Planning Continues

At this point, many of our seniors have applied to a wide range of colleges and universities.  We have all learned to cope with the new Common Application as well as the transition to electronic transcripting.  Don't hesitate to reach out if any other assistance is needed.

College Admissions Panel Event
April 21, 2014  7pm

This event is open to students in grades 9 – 11 and their families interested in learning more about the college process. The program will clarify how different colleges and universities conduct their admissions processes and to explain the post-secondary opportunities available to applicants at these institutions. Admissions representatives from various selective public and private, small and large universities will be on-hand to discuss their schools and answer questions.
Course Planning for 2014-15

We are now beginning the process of planning for next year, including the process of students appying for Honors and AP classe, as well as choosing electives.  Here is the new Program of Studies (printed copies will be distributed in the first three weeks of January 2014!)

The Summit HS Guidance and Counseling Department will host an evening for sophomore parents/guardians interested in learning more about beginning post-secondary planning with their students and what sophomores can be doing now to make the most of their high school experience.
