A bit more about me
It has been my privilege to teach in the Summit Public Schools since September 2000. I conduct the 6th, 7th and 8th grade orchestras plus the Chamber Orchestra at LCJSMS, and 4th and 5th grade orchestras at Franklin School. Before coming to Summit, I taught K-8 general music in Hope/Allamuchy, New Jersey. I earned my Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from SUNY College at Purchase, and Master of Musical Arts from Mannes College of Music. In addition to these degrees, in 2010 I earned a Masters of Science in Educational Technology from Ramapo College.
I am a professional cellist and have performed throughout the tri-state area including with the Springfield (MA) Symphony, the Greenwich Choral Society, the Bridgeport Opera and the New Jersey Pops. More recently, I have conducted the CJMEA Elementary Honors Orchestra and Morris-Union Jointure Commission Orchestra, have served as the Intermediate Orchestra Chair for the Central JerseyMusic Educators' Association and am a member of NJMEA, ASTA, TI:ME and ISTE.
When I am not busy with my teaching and performing responsibilities I enjoy trips with my husband to play golf.
