Staff Mr. Steven Rapp, Director: Mr. Rapp has taught in Summit since 1996 and has been in the High School full time since 1999. His directing responsibilites include, Wind Ensemble, Concert Band, Marching Band and Pit Orchestra. Mr. Rapp received his Bachelor's degree from Ithaca College and His Masters degree from Montclair State University.

Mr. Alex Bocchino, Assistant Director: Mr. Bocchino began teaching in Summit 1998. He directs the 8th grade band and Summit High School Percussion Ensemble. Mr. Bocchino also shares conducting duities in the Concert Band and Wind Ensemble. Mr. Bocchino received his Bachelor's and Masters degrees from William Paterson Universtiy and continued graduate study at Teachers College, Columbia Universtiy. |
Attention: Dear band members and parents. Now is a great time to start brining in your uniform. Seniors please return your uniform cleaned and in the bag from dry cleaning. All others, please check and see if your uniform still fits. If it doesn't please have it dry-cleaned and return it.
Drum Major Auditions will be held on Friday, May 31st during period 7.
2013 Band Camp Dates: Friday 8/23 6pm -9pm Saturday 8/24 9am-Noon Monday 8/26-Thursday 8/29 1pm-8pm
Sign Ups for 2013 Pride of Summit leadership positions will begin Friday, 5/10. Any students interested in becoming a section leader or ww & Bw captian should sign up.
