The Summit Board of Education will make the complete text of each legal public notice available on this dedicated webpage for at least one week from the date of initial posting. Public notices of Board of Education meetings are required to be shared 48 hours in advance of the meeting.

Why are legal notices posted here? Effective March 1, 2026, the Summit Public Schools has transitioned from publishing legal notices in traditional print newspapers to this dedicated online platform. This change follows the enactment of L. 2025, c.72, signed by Governor Phil Murphy, which modernizes public notification by utilizing digital platforms to increase accessibility and transparency for our community.

Our Purpose: This page serves as the official source for all public notices required by law. Our goal is to ensure that residents, taxpayers, and vendors have free, 24/7 access to official district business without the need for a subscription or registration.

Notices that are no longer active are moved to our Archived Public Notices page. These documents remain publicly accessible for at least one year following their removal from the current list.
