Elementary Curriculum Overview

The four strands of the elementary Summit Public Schools Library Media Curriculum are:

1. Literature Appreciation
2. Coding and Robotics: problem solving, creativity, computational thinking
3. Digital Citizenship: using technology responsibly, ethically, and safely
4. Research and Inquiry: asking and answering questions using library resources, both print and online

Students also have the opportunity to borrow library materials from the library's collection each week during this instructional period. The library supports free-choice and discovery to promote a love of reading.
