The Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) awarded Summit Public Schools the Certificate of Excellence (COE) in Financial Reporting for the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) for the fiscal year ended 2019.
Welcome to the Summit Public Schools
The primary function of the Business Office is to ensure efficient operations and management of the district's resources in a fiscally responsible manner that allows success of the district's overall mission.
All operational issues under the purview of the Business Administrator are conducted with a strict adherence to the General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) as well as all applicable laws and regulations as set forth by the New Jersey Administrative Code and Statutes governing school finance, purchasing, facilities, transportation, risk insurance management and food service.
Our team provides oversight and direction related to these operational functions in addition to strategic planning, budgeting and financial planning, purchasing, facilities, and safety & security in an effort to support the Superintendent in the task of providing leadership in developing, achieving, and maintaining the best possible educational programs and services for the students of Summit.
