A brief recap of our recent meetings...

On March 14th there was a Board of Education Meeting held at Summit High School. Prior to that, on March 7th, there was a Board of School Estimate Meeting, followed by a BOE Special Budget Meeting. June Chang and Louis Pepe presented the 2019-2020 Budget.

At the February 14th BOE Mtg, there were three presentations. Superintendent June Chang and Laura Kaplan reported out on the Student Safety Data System information from September to December 2018. Following that, the Superintendent joined Louis Pepe to discuss the 2019-2020 Draft Budget. Jenn McCann and Michelle Cebula also gave a mid-year update on Board Goals.

At the January 17th BOE Mtg, the Summit High School Chamber Choir and Hilltop String Quintet performed for students, staff, families, and community members. SHS National Merit Scholars were recognized at the meeting and they each presented a valued staff member with a special book selection. June Chang and Louis Pepe presented on the budget process. On December 13th, Summit Educational Foundation member Maggie Bauman presented the Fall SEF Grants which totaled $257,351. There was also an Audit presentation by Business Administrator Louis Pepe.

Board of Education meetings are broadcast LIVE on Comcast 964 and Verizon 28. Our Board Agendas are posted on the district website, the Tuesday before every Thursday BOE Mtg. All district presentations can be viewed on our website within the Presentation section found on the main page.
