The next BOE Meeting will be held on September 10, 2019 in the Summit High School Library. The meeting begins at 7:00pm.

A brief recap of our recent meetings...

On July 11th, there was a reception to welcome three new administrators to the Summit Public Schools. At the meeting, there were the following presentations: Harassment, Intimidation and Bullying ~ Investigation, Trainings and Programs System - Laura Kaplan; Student Safety Data System - June Chang; Class of 2019 Outcome Data - Laura Kaplan and Alison Grill; and 2018-2019 Board Goals Update - Jennifer McCann.

At the June 13th BOE Meeting, the Board honored Summit staff members who were retiring, as well as recognized Teachers of the Year and numerous community organizations.

The Board of Education Reorganization Meeting was held on May 9th. Vanessa Primack was elected President of the Board of Education and Donna Miller was elected as Vice President of the Board of Education. A presentation was given by the Summit Educational Foundation on its spring grants, and $605,975 was awarded to the district.

On March 25th there was a meeting at City Hall, beginning with the Board of Education and followed by the Board of School Estimate. At this meeting, the 2019-2020 school budget passed. It included Universal Free Full-Day Kindergarten for all students as of September 2019.

On March 14th there was a Board of Education Meeting held at Summit High School. Prior to that, on March 7th, there was a Board of School Estimate Meeting, followed by a BOE Special Budget Meeting. June Chang and Louis Pepe presented the 2019-2020 Budget.

Board of Education meetings are broadcast LIVE on Comcast 964 and Verizon 28. Our Board Agendas are posted on the district website, the Tuesday before every Thursday BOE Mtg. All district presentations can be viewed on our website within the Presentation section found on the main page.
